Healthcare Professionals

Blood cancer is the 5th most common cancer and the 3rd biggest cancer killer in the UK, claiming more lives each year than either breast or prostate cancer.1 Yet there is still low awareness of blood cancer and its symptoms,2 with patients in England visiting their GP more times than those with any other type of cancer before receiving a diagnosis.3

Healthcare professional awareness of blood cancer matters and may help to drive earlier referral of patients for diagnosis. There are number of educational materials available that can help support healthcare professionals in the recognition of blood cancers. To find out more, click here
